Welcome

Thank you for your interest in Today’s New International Version (TNIV). The TNIV is an uncompromisingly accurate Bible translation in today’s language from the translators of the most-trusted English Bible translation, the NIV. The TNIV is part of International Bible Society (IBS) and Zondervan’s efforts to reach 18- to 34-year-olds with the Bible.

This is a project IBS, Zondervan, and the Committee on Bible Translation, or CBT, have worked on for more than a decade. The CBT is the same committee that translated the NIV; they applied the same translation principles to the TNIV.

We’ve done considerable research and found that this translation is particularly relevant to younger generations, especially 18- to 34-year-olds. Our research shows us they like the readability of the TNIV combined with the accuracy of the text in today’s language.

The TNIV is the biggest Bible translation launch in history, and we are supporting it with a full product assortment, including Bible study and reference materials we think will have relevance to this large, but sometimes difficult-to-reach age group.
Please take some time to become familiar with the text that’s been referred to as “the cutting edge of contemporary Bible translation.” We’d love to hear from you.
